  10. IMPORTANT: When you install LauncherIII 1.5.2, you'll loose all your tab
  11. settings. That's because LIII database format changed and the new version
  12. cannot use the old format (nor it can convert the old format to the new one)
  13.  
  14. IMPORTANT: If you are already using LauncherIII 1.42 or older, please uncheck
  15. "Always use LauncherIII" preferences option, before installing this version!

  17. IMPORTANT: BE SURE THAT YOU REMEMBER THE PASSWORD BEFORE USING THE 'Lock' GADGET!

  19. IMPORTANT (for OS 3.x users): If you delete LauncherIII 1.5.x without deactivating
  20. it first, you will not have access to the default Palm application launcher
  21. (you'll get the old OS 1.x and 2.x launcher). To correct that, install
  22. Launcher III 1.5.x again, go to its prefernces, check and then uncheck
  23. "Always use LauncherIII" checkbox. After that, you can freely delete
  24. LauncherIII"

  27. Launcher III is a modification of famous Eric Kenslow's LaunchPad. This
  28. version is compatible with all devices with Palm OS 2.x or newer
  29. (PalmPilot Personal/Pro, PalmIII, PalmIIIx, PalmV, PalmVx, PalmVII and Visor).

  31. Synergy's Launch 'Em is the 'official' sequel to LaunchPad. In addition to
  32. Palm III support, it also adds a drag-n-drop trash can, beaming capabilities,

  39. - If you have a backup copy of FlashPro or other applications, they will not
  40. be shown in the Launcher III.
  41. - Default application launcher is not shown.
  42. - Added support for the latest version of TealDoc, so you can open DOC files
  43. with the TealDoc with the simple tap on the DOC file (if DOC files are enabled
  44. in the setup).
  45. - If Launcher III is not able to open its files (very rare situation caused
  46. by only one known application), your device will not end in the endless
  47. reset loop.

  75. - Select 'Cycle time' and/or 'Cycle volt' to automatically cycle the time or
  76.  voltage displays at the interval you select.

  78. - Select 'Always use LauncherIII' to have LauncherIII replace the default
  79. system application launcher.

  81. - Select 'Scroll one page at a time' to scroll a full page when using the
  82. scrollers. By default, LauncherIII scrolls a line at a time.

  84. - Select 'Show launchable databases' if you are using LauncherIII on a
  85. Palm VII device, or if you want to see (and launch) databases created with
  86. applications which support launchable data.

  95. Gadgets

  98. - 'Off' - turns off the device
  99. - 'Light' - toggles backlight
  100. - 'Tools' (hammer) - if you want to delete or beam an application, drag it to this
  101.     icon. If you tap on the icon, you'll get a list with the following options:
  102.     - 'Memory/Launcher' - if your device is OS 2.x, or you installed the
  103.         "Memory" application written only for newer devices, then "Memory"
  104.         application is started. Otherwise default OS 3.x application launcher
  105.         is started.
  106.     - 'Preferences' - systemPreferences application is started.
  107.     - 'Beam LauncherIII' - beam LauncherIII to another IR enabled Palm device.
  108.     This option is not avaliable for OS 2.x users.

  110. - 'Lock' - locks and turns off the device. IMPORTANT - BE SURE THAT YOU
  111.     REMEMBER THE PASSWORD BEFORE USING THIS GADGET!

  113. Usage tips
  114. ----------
  115. - To launch an application, simply tap the application's icon.
  116.     If you tap on the hack, HackMaster will be started.
  117.     If you tap on the database which has associated application, that
  118.     application will be started and the database will be opened.
  119. - To move an application to another tab, drag the application's icon and
  120.     drop it on the desired tab.
  121. - To delete or beam an application, drag the application's icon to the 'Tools'
  122.     (hammer) icon.
  123. - To view a different tab, tap the desired tab.
  124. - To switch between viewing the current date, time, and day of week, tap on
  125.     the time display in the lower left-hand corner.
  126. - To switch between showing your battery power as a voltage, or percentage
  127.     bar, or free memory as a number or percentage bar, tap on the voltage
  128.     display in the lower center.
  129. - Use the 'Tab' menu to create, rename, and delete tabs.
  130. - Use the 'Options' menu to set your preferences and to access other
  131.     LauncherIII features.
  132. - Use the 'Apps' menu to launch commonly used built-in Pilot apps.
  133. - Use the 'Help' menu at any time to view these tips.
